When I copy and paste the formula it skips a bunch of cells, same thing when I use the drag option. Now, is there a way to drag this down my spreadsheet to read the formula?Īnd so on for hundreds of cells? I hope I'm being clear on this description. Ok, I'm at work now, and the TRANSPOSE formula works perfectly when I manually entered it. =TRANSPOSE(A1:A3) will transpose to A1, B1, C1 If you try using transpose rows to row, you will get (for example)

If you make a mistake, you need to delete all parts of the resulting array together. As a side note, I just noticed a letter ' (T) here for the right. You can also right click your destination cell, and under Paste special, the Transpose functionality is the 4th button option. If I read your question right, you are trying to transpose headings that go across columns in Sheet 1 so they go down rows in another sheet.ġ) Select all cells you wish the result to show in (select same number as the headings you wish to transpose)Ģ) Now type the formula =TRANSPOSE(Sheet1!A1:C1) ģ) Do NOT press This is an array formula so you need to press // Select your destination cell, and if you actually click the 'Paste Special' button, you should see an option for 'Transpose' in the lower right corner.

I tried dragging but it skips a chunk of cells.

I'm not sure how to get the pattern to continue without manually entering each formula individually. It's a repeating pattern, but can't get it to drag correctly, it skips. I have spreadsheet that I started manually entering formulas to read from sheet 1 to sheet two. I posted this earlier yesterday, I have included the correct response to my original question but I now need to know how to continue the formula down the whole page without having to manually enter the formula.
